Dale Edward Cook
DALE EDWARD COOK, a resident of Siloam Springs, was born Sept. 4, 1920, in Oak Grove, a son of John A. and Janie (Standlee) Cook. He died Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, in Siloam Springs at the age of 85.
Dale was retired from Tyson Foods and was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church in Berryville. He was a veteran, having served as a sergeant in the United States Army in the South Pacific during World War II. Dale was leader for the honor guard during several military funerals.
On May 18, 1947, he was united in marriage with Lucille Ona (Youngblood) Cook, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by four daughters, Judy K. Cook of Baldwin City, Kan., Brenda and her husband, Larry Vaughn of Siloam Springs, Debra and her husband, Alfred Reed of Weatherford, Okla., and Carol Ann and her husband, John Moss of Okay, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; many other relatives; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Janie Cook; one sister, Edith VanWinkle; and one son, Danny Lee Cook.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Bob Perkins officiating. Interment was in the Hale Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
