Edward "Eddie" H. Lang

Edward "Eddie" H. Lang, 83, of Shell Knob, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 14, 2005, in the Barry County Care Center, Cassville, Mo.

He was born July 12, 1922, in Milwaukee, Wisc., the son of Lawrence and Emily (Krueger) Lang. On May 31, 1947, in Waukesha, Wisc., he was united in marriage to Norma Fordham, who survives. He is also survived by three sons, James M. Lang and his wife, Jackie, of Champaign, Ill., Jeffrey E. Lang and his wife, Carol, of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Jerald W. Lang and his wife, Nancy, of Jordan, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Mr. Lang served during World War II with the 472D Anti-aircraft Artillery Battalion in the Philippines. He was an auto mechanic and worked several years for Wendt-Sonis.

Four years ago Mr. Lang moved to Shell Knob from Jane, Mo., where he had lived for 30 years and served as deputy sheriff for more than 10 years.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Burial with military honors will be in Lake Park Memorial Gardens, Shell Knob.
