Leopard roundball teams win four from Eureka
EUREKA SPRINGS -- The Highlander junior high basketball teams couldn't get a win from four salty Alpena Leopard teams Monday night, but the junior high girls were close.
Coach Aaron Hall's Junior Lady Highlanders lost 29-23 in a game that went down to the wire, leaving them 2-2. Coach Daniel Cornelison's junior boys went scoreless in the second half and lost 36-13, leaving them 1-2.
Alpena swamped the Eureka seventh-graders, winning 21-4 in boys action and 17-0 in girls play, with the teams playing two 10-minute halves with the clock running.
