John Nolis Faught

John Nolis Faught, 88, of Jasper, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. He was born May 26, 1917, at Deer, the son of William David and Belle (Brown) Faught.

A truck driver, he married Augusta Smith on Nov. 10, 1938, at Parthenon. She preceded him in death.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, Eugene Faught; one brother, Minliss Faught; two sisters, Floy Martin and Dorothy Kelly, and five grandchildren.

He received salvation and was baptized in 1963 at High Baptist Church in Berryville.

Survivors include his children, Pauline Howard and Danny Faught, both of Rogers, Gerene Flippo of Green Forest, Bobby Faught of Oak Grove, Patricia Smith of Bentonville, David Faught and Johnny Faught, both of Deer, Marilyn Campbell of Vendor, Roger Faught of Jasper, Ricky Faught of Pelsor, and Vicki Patty of Berryville; two sisters, Jewell Stone of Ozark, and Opal Moore of Clarksville; 44 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Deer School Gymnasium with Donnie Villines and David E. Faught officiating. Burial was in Crossroads Cemetery near Deer under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.
