Betty Jo (Cash) Bohannan
BETTY JO (CASH) BOHANNAN, of Bolivar, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005, in Eureka Springs. She was born Nov. 10, 1933, in Batesville, to Clarence and Fanny Ballard Cash. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bohannan; son, Richard Wesley Sturch III; and her father.
Survivors include daughters, Joangelia Westmoreland and husband, Terry of Wynne, Laura V. Covington and husband Ken of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; two brothers, William Cash of Batesville, and Clarence Cash of Little Rock; and one sister, Trula Ann Pectol of Batesville. She has four grandsons, Wesley Hutton Westmoreland of Las Vegas, Wade Heston Westmoreland of Wynne, Joseph Griggs and Kenneth Cash Covington both of Eureka Springs; numerous nieces and nephews; and her precious friends from Bolivar, Mo.
Betty served five years in the Peace Corps stationed in the Dominican Republic and Turks and Caicos Islands. After her service in the Peace Corps, she also served for five years as a Peace Corps recruiter out of Denver, Colo. She was a member of the Bolivar Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. at the Eureka Springs Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
