POLICE DISPATCHES

Oct. 16

2:18 p.m. -- Officer initiated a check on a water main leak on Phillips Street and West Church Street.

2:30 p.m. -- Officer provided security for a soccer game at the community center.

8:56 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to the public square to check for a white pickup racing.

9:58 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Cingular to check area for a prowler. Prowler gone upon arrival.

11:42 p.m. -- Officer provided back up on Jackson Street concerning a domestic dispute.

11:59 p.m. -- Officer initiated a follow up on a domestic on Dawn Street. An arrest was made.

Oct. 17

12:17 a.m. -- Officer assisted emergency medical technicians with a medical emergency on E. College Avenue.

12:21 a.m. -- Officer initiated a follow up on Jackson Street in regard to a domestic. Officer contacted victim for statements.

8:30 a.m. -- Officer contacted the owner of a purse which was found in a dumpster.

3:54 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to the court house on a report of unattended young children in a vehicle. Officer made contact and report was unfounded.

4:25 p.m. -- Officer located a missing child at the K-3 school.

5:02 p.m. -- Officer took a report on theft of purse at the arcade on the public square.

6:55 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Auto Zone to take a report and arrest a shoplifter.

Oct. 18

6:00 a.m. -- Officer was dispatched to East Mountain Avenue to contact a female talking of suicide.

6:31 a.m. -- Officer initiated a follow-up on an earlier call at St. John's Emergency Room.

9:30 a.m. -- Officer forwarded information on a vandalism to the Criminal Investigation Department.

12:40 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to McDonald's to take a report on a private property accident.

2:25 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Wal-Mart concerning a shoplifter. An arrest was made.

4:18 p.m. -- Police responded to a 911 hang-up from a pay phone at Wal-Mart. All was okay.

10:51 p.m. -- Officer initiated a traffic stop at Main Liquor for no tags. An arrest was made for a suspended license and other charges.

Oct. 19

5:10 a.m. -- Officer initiated a security check at the high school. Officer found an unlocked window.

10:55 a.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Westview Apartments on a report of suspicious kids in the area. Kids were gone upon arrival.

1:25 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Cherry Street to assist St. John's emergency medical technicians with a suicide attempt subject.

7:30 p.m. -- Officer provided assistance on Clark Road with inventory of a vehicle and stand-by for a wrecker.

8:00 p.m. -- Officer initiated a security check of the K-3 building. All was okay.

10:10 p.m. -- Officer provided patrol of the Berryville High School. All was okay.

Oct. 20

12:07 a.m. -- Officer found an open gate at AAA/Nighthawk Custom. Officer notified the key holder.

12:36 a.m. -- Officer found light on in a bus at the school bus enclosure. Officer checked area and turned the lights off.

1:42 a.m. -- Officer initiated a traffic stop at Freeman Heights Baptist Church for no tags. Subject was arrested on warrant.

9:00 a.m. -- Officer initiated a follow up on a stolen purse.

3:00 p.m. -- Officer took a report on theft of property.

3:45 p.m. -- Officer served a warrant and made an arrest at Bobcat Mini Mart.

4:30 p.m. -- Officer assisted with a warrant arrest at Tyson Foods.

10:41 p.m. -- Officer initiated a check of a suspicious vehicle at A.L. Carter Field. An arrest was made for DUI.

Oct. 21

2:40 a.m. -- Officer was dispatched to U.S. Highway 62 Spur on a report of a suspicious vehicle and occupants. Officer checked and all was okay.

6:49 a.m. -- Officer initiated a follow up on Champion Drive concerning an arrest.

8:15 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to Spruce Avenue regarding a medical emergency. Officer gained entry for emergency medical technicians.

9:07 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to South Springfield Street and Monroe Street regarding kids yelling and screaming. Kids were playing and all was okay.

Oct. 22

12:59 a.m. -- Officer initiated a check of Dollar Tree and found an open door. Officer checked and found inner door locked.

2:36 p.m. -- Officer responded to a report of two young girls trying to get in an old storm cellar on Elm Street and Jefferson Avenue. Officer warned the girls about the dangers and trespassing.

10:18 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to East Church Street on a child welfare concern. Child was taken to the hospital with a diaper rash.

Oct. 23

3:35 p.m. -- Officer was dispatched to the RV park to check on a sleeping subject. Subject moved along.

10:37 p.m. -- Officer responded to a phone harassment complaint at McDonald's. Officer spoke to all parties involved.
