VolleyCats end regular season vs. Lady Bombers
MOUNTAIN HOME -- The Berryville Lady Bobcat volleyball team ended the regular season with a non-conference matchup with the Lady Bombers on Tuesday night.
The JV pulled out 27-25 and 26-24 overtime wins, then helped play during the varsity match. Mountain Home, undefeated in their conference, took 25-6, 25-14, and 25-19 wins to drop Berryville to 11-4 for the season.
6-25, 14-25, 19-25
"We were sluggish, so I subbed in six JV players in the first game," Coach Emily Webb said. "The JV was surprised, but the varsity needed to refocus. They didn't move, talk or set well. I left Beth Campbell in the rest of the night. She went after every ball and played well on the back row."
For the night, Emily Bell had 4 kills and 8 good serves; Rain Campbell had 4 kills and 2 digs; Beth had 6 good serves, 3 digs and a kill; Summer Williamson- 12 good serves, 15 sets; Katie Tennant- 20 sets, 4 good serves; Mahalie Armstrong- 2 blocks.
"They were mad from their loss Monday night and wanted to take it out on somebody," Coach Webb explained. "I'm proud of them. They've come so far this year. I'm looking forward to next year with this group.
"Kaylin Armstrong brought us back in game one with seven consecutive serves, from 8-15 to 15-all. She also had 12 good serves and 12 sets for the night," Webb said.
Emily Ray- 4 kills, 6 good serves; Fallon Ursery- 9 good serves, 2 digs; Heather Eaves- 8 good serves; Tomo Fakau- 10 good serves, 11 sets; Michelle Wyas- 8 good serves.
