Junior Grigg, a resident of Green Forest, was born March 10, 1931, in the Rule community of Carroll County, a son of Reta (Hittson) Wade. He died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, in Harrison, at the age of 74.
Mr. Grigg was a veteran having served with the U.S. Army. He was a beef cattle farmer and had been a mail carrier for the past 13 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
On Aug. 26, 1954, he was united in marriage with LaVone (Tipton) Grigg, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two sons, Larry and his wife Deb Grigg of Greenbrier, Ark., and Michael and his wife Jaretta Grigg of Green Forest; five grandchildren, Laura, Kayla and Michael, Jr. Grigg all of Green Forest; Becky and her husband Alan Iveson of Harrison and Danielle Grigg of Dallas, Texas; three great grandchildren, Zachary Grigg and Dakota Lively both of Green Forest and McKenzie Iveson of Harrison; one uncle, Claude Hittson of Green Forest; and a host of other relatives and friends. Junior was a life long resident of Rule.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct.4, 2005, at Nelson's Green Forest Chapel with Rev. Ray Shelton, Rev. Danny McMullen and Rev. David Hanshaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Rule Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the Rule Cemetery Fund, in care of Howard Collins in Green Forest.
