Virginia Jewell Colvin

VIRGINIA JEWELL (BOATRIGHT) COLVIN, 84, of Berryville, died at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 6. She was born June 11, 1921, in Berryville, a daughter of Robert Raymond and Vinnie (Snow) Boatright.

Mrs. Colvin was a homemaker, a secretary and a charter member of the Southern Baptist Church in Berryville.

She is survived by her son Larry Eugene Colvin; five grandchildren, Matthew Shawn Colvin of California; Samuel Eugene Colvin, Joseph Howard Colvin, Yvonne Cherise Colvin, and Charley Aaron Colvin all of Salt Lake City, Utah; and one great-grandchild, Alexis Nicole Colvin of California.

On July 2, 1941, she was united in marriage with Neff Eugene Colvin who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Eleanor Yvonne Colvin.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13 at the Southern Heights Baptist Church in Berryville with Rev. Dean Smith and Rev. Scott Cox officiating. Interment will follow in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the Southern Heights Baptist Church Building Fund.
