GREEN FOREST -- The Lady Tigers made a clean sweep of it Monday night when all three volleyball teams posted wins over the Marshall Lady Bobcats.

The varsity moved its record to 2-0 with 25-11, 25-22 and 25-17 wins. The JV won 25-18, 25-21, and the junior high got 25-21, 25-15 victories.

"The junior high was solid," Coach Kayla Madewell said. "I was proud of the way they worked together. We had two new girls join the team, Lacey Fry and Meghan Barinsky.

"For the JV, Jordan Locke and Haley Roney did good. The varsity, I liked their effort," Madewell said. "We teach them to chase every stray ball down and in practice we chase to the walls.

"Amelia Villines had eight kills for the game, LaRae Jones had thee, and Nicki Kilbourn three. Megan Bennett had three aces on serves and put up seven good sets for kills. Makayla Jorgensen is our silent leader, and Lindsay Kilbourn had a solid night, big at the net."

The teams faced Valley Springs on Thursday.
