C. VERLON WOODWORTH, 79, of St. Paul, died Aug. 17, 2005, at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born March 17, 1926, at Osage, the son of Joseph Jay "Joe" and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Underdown Woodworth. He was a retired logger and attended the Pentecostal church. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Virgie Faddis Woodworth of the home; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Carl Gene and Evelyn Woodworth of St. Paul and Bill Woodworth of Buffalo, Mo.; one sister, Freda Woodworth of Alpena; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nephews and nieces and two great friends, Larry and Tammy Wright of Fayetteville.

Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Duncan officiating. Interment was in the Shady Grove Cemetery near Osage under the direcxtion of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
