HICC dedicates bench

HOLIDAY ISLAND -- The Holiday Island Presbyterian Church announced the dedication of the "Memorial Bench" for Lil Huston, on Sunday, May 15, 3 p.m. in the church's Memorial Garden.

The bench was designed by artist Randy Wesley, of the Wommack Monument Co. in Bolivar, Mo. The brief service and dedicatorial message was conducted by the Rev. Clare Kelley, pastor of the Holiday Island Presbyterian Church and the First Presbyterian Church of Eureka Springs.

Under the direction of Jerritt Burk, music director for the Eureka Springs public schools, children from the area will sing special music. Mrs. Marian Thomas was the accompanist for the congregational singing.

Following the outdoor service, a reception with refreshments was held in the church.

Members of Lil's family from Pennsylvania, Florida, Ohio, and California were present. Rev. Bob Huston, Lil's husband, the family, and more than 125 persons from the area contributed to the memorial and all persons were welcomed to attend. Holiday Island Presbyterian Church is located at State Line Avenue and Walnut Drive.
