Edith Millie (Smith) Kisner, who was born July 18, 1918, in Urbanette, died April 18, 2005, in Texarkana, Ark. Edith Kisner was the daughter of Carl and Clara Smith, grew up in Berryville, and graduated from Berryville High School. She was married to Howard L. Kisner on December 2, 1937, and they were the parents of two sons.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; her parents, Carl and Clara Smith; and four sisters, Lavon Smith, Arlene Clark, Lois Garrison and Geneva Engel.

She is survived by: one sister Norma Humbard of Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, James Kisner of Huntsville, Ala., and Howard Kisner Jr. of Texarkana, Ark.; four grandchildren, Sherrie Dotson, James Kisner Jr., Terri Beeson, and Scott Kisner; six great grandchildren, Samuel Banning, Glen Dotson III, Scott Jr. and Steven Kisner, Jonathan and Anna Beeson; one nephew; three nieces; many other relatives; and a host of friends.

Funeral services were to be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2005, at the Charles M Nelson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Billy McCall officiating.
