JASPER GEORGE MALOTTE, a resident of Berryville, was born April 5, 1921, in Hominy, Okla., a son of John Albert and Ruby Jane (Goble) Malotte. He died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2005, in Berryville, at the age of 83.

Mr. Malotte was a farmer. He was a member of Senior Citizens Center, the Anti-Theft Association, and Civilian Conservation Corps. He was of the Christian Faith.

On Nov. 14, 1982, he was united in marriage with Mary Lee (Burgess) Malotte of Berryville, who survives him. He is also survived by one daughter, Ruby Mae and her husband, Patrick Garris of Oak Grove; six sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond Jasper and Diane Malotte of Covington, Tenn., Roland Duane and Linda Malotte, Roy Dean and Sandra Malotte, Royce Lynn and Sherri Malotte and Marlon Jay and Pennie Malotte, all of Berryville, and Darryl Lee and Christine Malotte of Blue Eye, Mo.; a step-daugher, Maggie Sanders and husband Ben of Crossville, Tenn.; a step-son, Sherman Van Winkle of Sparta, Tenn.; two sisters, Virgie and her husband, George Webb and Vida Andoe all of Oroville, Calif.; his brother, Leland Raymond Malotte of Oroville; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; Reva Marie Beach Malotte, the mother of his children; and several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Malotte; his grandparents; one son, George Raymond Malotte; and two great-grandsons, Mark Andrew Farrell and Royce Lynn Malotte III.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at the Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Bradley officiating. Interment will follow in the Blue Eye Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the Carroll County Senior Citizens Center.
