Two more implicated in cattle-rustling ring

David Joe Fox III, 21, of Huntsville and David Hershel Walker, 18, of Springdale turned themselves in last week, joining several others already implicated in what authorities describe as a large-scale cattle-rustling operation.

Two of those previously charged include Brent Lesley Foster, 19, and Chance Ryan Biggerstaff, 20, both of Berryville. The fifth suspect is Doyle R. Scrivner, 23, of Harrison.

All the suspects are believed to be ropers on the rodeo circuit in Northwest Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, said Madison County Sheriff Phillip Morgan.

According to Morgan, the cattle-rustling operation involved the theft of 27 cattle from Madison County and a dozen more from Washington and Benton Counties.

With these arrests, Morgan said, "all of our cases are solved, plus ones from Benton and Washington counties, and possibly Oklahoma."

Foster and Scrivner were arrested Oct. 29 at Farmers Livestock Auction in Springdale after they came to pick up a check for cattle sold at the auction.

Biggerstaff was arrested Nov. 1 at the Madison County Sheriff's Office. Fox and Walker turned themselves in Nov. 10, Morgan said.

The investigation involved three agencies, the Madison County Sheriff's Office and authorities in Washington and Benton counties.
