Convention-style sing set at Green Forest UBC

Friday, October 15, 2004

Brother Raymond Busch of Conway will lead an "old-fashioned convention-style gospel singing" on Sunday, Oct. 17, at Green Forest United Baptist Church, according to Pastor Jerry Spurlock.

The singing will get underway at 1:30 p.m. at the church, located at 106 Olive St., behind Forest Center Shopping Center, following 10 a.m. Sunday School, 11 a.m. worship and a covered-dish lunch.

Spurlock reports that Busch is a well-known gospel song leader and teacher of gospel songs. He has taught shaped-note style songs at Wilderness Point Bible Camp and area churches for several years.

All interested persons are encouraged to attend, "whether you lead songs or just enjoy good gospel singing," Spurlock said.
