Divorce recovery series offered at Berryville United Methodist

Monday, September 27, 2004

Registration is under way for an eight-week focus on rebuilding one's life after divorce, entitled Making Life Whole Again, at Berryville First United Methodist Church.

Church spokesperson Mary Ruth Hudspeth describes the series as an encouraging look at life after divorce.

The group focus will help those who are going through the pain, anger, grief, and other difficulties of divorce, she said. "There will be eight sessions, which will help you focus on rebuilding your life. You will come away from these sessions renewed, revitalized, and aware that you can be a whole person again."

The series will be coordinated and facilitated by Sharon Spurlin. Guest speakers will be Richard Taylor, MD, and Sally Gorrell, LCSW. The primary resource for these sessions will be Dr. Bruce Fisher's book, Rebuilding When Your Relationship Ends.

Date: Sessions will be held on Tuesdays, beginning Oct. 5, from 7:15 to 9 p.m., and cost is $25.

To register or for a free brochure, telephone (870) 423-2505. Pre-registration is requested by Sept. 30. Late registration will be accepted through Oct. 12.

Sessions will be held at the church, located on U.S. Highway 62 next to Price Cutter Food Warehouse.
