Andrea Nicole Fancher

Andrea Nicole Fancher, 19, of Kingston, Ark., died Aug. 8, 2004, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan. She was born April 7, 1985, at Huntsville, Ark., the daughter of Stillman Leon and Angela Kay Budeau Fancher.

She was a student at The University of the Ozarks in Clarksville where she was a member of the Lady Eagles Basketball team. She was a 2003 graduate of Kingston High School where she had received the Geometry, American History, Trigonometry and Algebra II awards. While in high school she was a member of the FCCLA and FBL for four years, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Science Club for three years and had served on the student council. She was captain of the Junior Basketball team in the 9th grade and was named MVP, All Tournament and All Conference. In Senior Basketball she was All Tournament, All Conference and an All State candidate in the 10th and 11th grades and was MVP, All Conference, All District and All State in the 12th grade. She was honored with the National Honor Roll Award and was listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students for four years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Huntsville and was preceded in death by her stepfather, Gregory Lyn Boyd in 2000.

Survivors include: her father, Stillman Leon Fancher of Kingston, Ark.; her mother, Mrs. Angela Kay Boyd of Kingston, Ark.; one brother, Cameron Blake Fancher of Kingston, Ark.; her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Ines Melinda Fancher of Dry Fork, Ark.; her maternal grandfather, John James Mitchell of Berryville, Ark.; and her fiance, Garrett Jason Matlock of Kingston, Ark.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 11, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Roy I. Cain officiating. Interment was in the Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. Pallbearers were: Jarred Head, Jeff Anderson, Monty Hoskins, Justin Matlock, Coach Greg Poole and Coach Greg McCone. Honorary pallbearers were Heath Marshall, Travis Bancroft, Lyndell Thompson, C.J. Bellinger, Ronnie Burcham, John Henry Holt, David Summerall, Kyle Bohannon, Cliff Fancher, Sam Davidson, Shawn Poole and Travis Huber.
