CLARA JANE MILLS PERKINS, a resident of Berryville, was born May 3, 1923, in Ontario, Ore., a daughter of Lawerence and Ruby Jane (Peters) Mackey. She died Sunday, May 23, 2004, in Berryville at the age of 81.
Mrs. Perkins was a homemaker, a beautician and at one time owned a day care center. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Gail and her husband James Hattenhauer of Berryville, and Anitra Mills of Stone County, Mo.; eight sons, Allen Wayne Perkins of Berryville, Kenneth Dale and Penny Perkins of Alpena, Roger and his wife Sally Perkins of Berryville, Murriel and his wife Sharon Mills of Reeds Spring, Mo., Jimmy Mills, Jr., Tim Mills, Denzel Mills and Kevin Mills all of Stone County, Mo.; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
On May 9, 1982 she was united in marriage with Frank Perkins, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three husbands, Jay Frank Taylor, Tommy Walker, and Jim Mills, her parents and one brother.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 27, 2004, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville with Rev. Tim Garrison officiating.
