Green Forest UBC revival slated

Tuesday, April 20, 2004

"Come and Hear the Good News" is the theme of a series of meetings starting April 25 at Green Forest United Baptist Church, according to Pastor Jerry Spurlock.

Evangelists will be Herman Henderson of Harrison, pastor of United Baptist churches in Newton and Boone counties, and his son, Nelson Henderson, a Freewill Baptist pastor and overseer of A.C.T.S. 1:8 (Arkansas Committed to Total Support).

Services will be at 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on April 25, and at 7 p.m. on week nights. Spurlock states that no closing date has been set, but that services will run for at least a week.

The public is urged to attend. Said Spurlock, "Learn how much God loves you and how he has provided salvation and eternal life for you through Jesus Christ."

The church is located at 106 W. Olive St., Green Forest, behind Forest Center. For transportation and information, telephone Spurlock at (870) 438-6350.

A.C.T.S. allows churches across the state to join together for a more efficient way to reach the nations for Christ. Since beginning in 1996, it has channeled more than $1.5 million to the mission field, saving thousands of dollars in fund-raising costs and travel expenses, and translating into time and resources invested in the mission field.
