Burnis Taylor

BURNIS TAYLOR, a resident of Green Forest, was born July 13, 1924, in Green Forest, a daughter of John and Alice (Scarborough) Guess. She died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004, in Kimberling City, Mo., at the age of 79.

Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

On March 25, 1944, she was united in marriage with Wilford Taylor, who survives her. She is also survived by four sons, Lonnie Taylor of Gladstone, Mich., Jimmy Taylor of Kansas City, Mo., Ricky Taylor of Beaumont, Tex., and Steven Taylor of San Miguel, California; three daughters, Carma (Carmie) Davis of Bakersfield, Calif., Carolyn Osborn of Gladstone, Mich., and Cheryl Taylor of Omaha, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several other relatives; and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Ivan Guess.

Funeral services were to be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Interment will be in the Ward Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. On-line condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
