Beth Cooke

BETH COOKE, a resident of Eureka Springs, was born Feb. 13, 1911, in Potosi, Texas, a daughter of Marion Roger and Willie Ora (Stinson) Williams. She died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, in Eureka Springs at the age of 93.

Mrs. Cooke was an English teacher. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Eureka Springs.

She is survived by her twin nieces, Sharen Brawley of Flower Mound, Texas, and Shirley Ann and her husband, Robert H. Tinkis of Eureka Springs; and four great-nieces and nephews.

On July 31, 1937, she was united in marriage with Raymond Cooke who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Willie Edna Cannon.

Graveside funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2004, in the Eureka Springs Cemetery with Father Thomas Arackal officiating. Interment followed in the Eureka Springs Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
