BILLY WAYNE NICHOLS, a resident of Green Forest, was born May 26, 1935, in Dawson Springs, Ken., a son of Lawrence H. and Imogene Nichols. He died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, in Berryville, at the age of 68.

Mr. Nichols was a co-owner of Classic Maintenance. He was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by two sons, Frank Cardinell, Jr. of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and Rick and his wife, Penny Nichols of South Elgin, Ill.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Dionisio Lorenzo of Crystal Lake, Ill., Sherry and Tom Huntley of Hebron, Ill., Deborah and Don Layne of St. Charles, Ill., and Linda and John Fields of Littleton, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Marie Nichols of Holiday, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Catherine (Foote) Nichols. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence H. and Imogene Nichols; and his daughter, Cindy Andrews.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, at the Union Funeral Home in West Frankfort, Ill., with Rev. Alan Ozment officiating. Interment followed in the Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City, Ill. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Local arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Service.
