WILLIAM JOSEPH MARTES was born Dec. 20, 1943, to the late Joseph and Josephine Martes. He was one of three children and is survived by one sister and one brother. He died on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2004, at the age of 60.

Later in his life, he was also a successful entrepreneur with his courier company, Windy Point Carriers.

Bill fulfilled his dream to be closer to the outdoors when he retired to Arkansas in 2001. He resided in Green Forest until his death.

He leaves his spouse, Marilyn; a daughter, Colleen, four grandchildren; one son-in-law, David; one nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.
