ANTHREA CARY, a resident of Green Forest, was born Feb. 2, 1912, in Blue Eye, a daughter of Joe and Tellie (Jackson) Landon. She died on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, in Berryville at the age of 91.

Mrs. Cary was a charter member of the United Pentecostal Church, now known as Christ Tabernacle. She enjoyed quilting and working in her flower beds, her family and her close friendships.

She is survived by three sons, Donald Joe Cary of Berryville, Ronald James Cary of Berryville and Wyendell Cary of Oak Grove; three daughters, Emma Jean McCormick of DeLeon, Tex., Sandra Norris of Green Forest, and Jaynie Jones of Green Forest; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-granchildren; six great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

On Dec. 21, 1927, she was united in marriage with Willis Cary, who preceded her in death after 70 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, two sister, on granddaughter and a great-great-grandson.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at the Christ Tabernacle Church in Blue Eye with Rev. Bruce Robinson and Rev. Josh Shields officating.
