MYRTLE PAULINE HAYTHORN, 78, of Kingston, died Dec. 31, 2003, at her home. She was born Jan. 26, 1925, at Compton, Ark., the daughter of Ellis and Emma Armer Clark.

She had been an employee of the Madison County Record and First National Bank of Huntsville for many years and had also farmed most of her life.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Cleatis Clark and Clifford Clark and by one sister, Ruby Northcross. She was a long-time member of the Boxley Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara "Bobbie" Frost of Broomfield, Colo., and Martha Ann Jarrell of Conway, Ark.; one brother, Curtis Clark of Compton; four sisters, Dorothy Womack of Hurley, Mo., Erma Christian of Hilltop, Ark., Ina Vern Rickey of Eldridge, Iowa, and Lou Phillips of Springdale, Ark.; four grandsons and two granddaughters.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 2, at the Boxley Baptist Church with Rev. Claud Williams and Rev. Roy I. Cain officiating. Interment followed in the Beachwoods Cemetery near Compton under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville.
