BARBARA PERKINS, a resident of Berryville, was born Dec. 8, 1937, in Cincinatti, Ohio, a daughter of Horace and Rose (Potts) Hunley. She died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003 in Springdale at the age of 66.
Mrs. Perkins retired from Tyson Foods after working there for 25 years. She was an active member of the Berryville Baptist Church, where she enjoyed volunteering for church activities. She had a giving, loving spirit and was always there to help. She was blessed with family and many friends.
On Aug. 23, 1955, she was united in marriage with Tom Perkins who survives her. She is also survived by her son, Tom Joseph and his wife Ellen of Jacksonville, Ark.; two daughters, Mary and husband, Allan Clary of Mayflower, Ark., and Barbara Duck and her husband, Ken Hill of Bradenton, Fla.; seven grandchildren; five great- grandchildren; several other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Rose Hunley; a son, Robert Perkins and sister, Gloria Hunley.
Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at the Eureka Springs City Cemetery with Pastor Eric Goodman officiating. Interment followed in the Eureka Springs Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. On-line condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
