Effie S. Johnson

MYRA ATCHISON, a resident of Oak Grove, was born May 21, 1902 in Omaha, Ark., a daughter of Horton Howard and Hila (Frazier) Stacy. She died Friday, Dec. 19, 2003, in Berryville at the age of 101.

On February 24, 1922, she was united in marriage to Leonard Atchison, who preceded her in death. To this union was born seven children, three of whom preceded her in death, Dorothy Atchison, Clifford Atchison, and Leroy Atchison. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Myra is survived by four children, Wanda Harris of Santa Barbara, Calif., Joe Zane Atchison of Jay, Okla., Mary Youngblood of Shell Knob, Mo. and Sharon Davidson of Green Forest, 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Atchison was a mother, homemaker, member of the Senior Center and a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Green Forest.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2003, at the Nelson Chapel in Berryville with Rev. Keith Butler officiating. Interment followed in the Omaha Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. On-line condolences may be sent to the family at www.nelsonfuneral.com.
