Doilis (Dot) Foreman

DOILIS (DOT) V. FOREMAN, 87, of Fountain Lake Nursing, Hot Springs, Ark., formerly of Green Forest, died Sept. 18, 2003 in a local hospital. She was born Aug.12, 1916, in Ohio County, Ky. to Ellis Leslie and Cordelia Mae (Lee) Toms.

Doilis married Paul J. Foreman, a farmer in Hartford, Ky., on February 16, 1935. After she and Paul retired to Green Forest in 1971 from Hammond, Ind.

She cherished her role of housewife, master gardener, loving mother, grandmother and a member of the Green Forest Church of Christ and the Green Thumb Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lillian Davenport and her husband of 53 years, Paul Foreman. Survivors include her three sons and two daughters-in-law, Carl Ray and Marilyn Foreman of Hot Springs Village, Ark., Ronald Edward and Brenda Foreman and Paul David Foreman of Owensboro, Ky.; a sister, Pauline Fuderich of Wickenburg, Ariz.; and a brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Lorene Toms of Bella Vista, Ark..

She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside committal services were Dec.11, 2003, at the Pickens Cemetery in Green Forest. Arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
