LEROY H. HUNT, 72, of Springdale, Ark., died Saturday, Nov. 15, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. He was born Aug. 23, 1931, in Sioux City, Iowa to Lester Wesley and Hazel Blanche Johnson Hunt.
Mr. Hunt served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He married Shirley Ann Collins on Oct. 24, 1954, in Berryville. The couple moved to Springdale in 1965. He owned and operated Hunt's Custom Upholstery there for 31 years. He was a member of Community of Christ Church in Fayetteville, and the Foothills of the Ozarks Antique Car Club. Mr. Hunt enjoyed restoring antique cars, camping and the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hunt of the home; two daughters, Debbie Flora and husband Richard, Sandra Sprouse and husband Doug; a son, David Hunt and wife Marsha, all of Springdale; a brother, Lester Hunt of Sonoma, Calif.; two sisters, Hazel Soden of Springdale, Madonna Hunter of Humble, Tex.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 17, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with Elder Dean Cox officiating.
