Lillian Inez Allard
LILLIAN INEZ ALLARD, 93, of Shell Knob, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, in her home.
She was born Oct. 19, 1910, in Hamburg, Ill., the daughter of Lillian and Minnie Coffey. On July 20, 1935, in Murphreesboro, Ill., she was united in marriage to Fred Allard, who survives. She is also survived by one niece and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Inez graduated from high school in 1927 in Carbondale, Ill. She furthered her education at Southern Illinois University, where she received her teaching degree. She taught school for five years in Vergennis, Ill. She became a homemaker for several years and in 1964 resumed her teaching at Valley Park, Mo., retiring in 1973. Upon retiring, she and Fred moved to Shell Knob to make their home.
She was a member of the Baptist faith and the Retired Teachers Association.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, in Williamson Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Rev. Jim Forkner conducted services. Burial was in Lake Park Memorial Gardens, Shell Knob.
