RICHARD L. (DICK) DEEG, a resident of Eureka Springs, was born May 18, 1932, in Bell, Calif., a son of Kenneth and Mabel (Hinson) Deeg. He died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003, in Eureka Springs at the age of 71.
Mr. Deeg was a machinist in the tool and dye industry. He was a veteran, having served with the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Lone Star Bible Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Ashley Masonic Lodge #386 in Eureka Springs. Mr. Deeg was also a First Responder for the Eureka Springs Fire Department.
On May 12, 1962, he was united in marriage with Toni (Bouly) Deeg who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his son, Kenneth Lee Deeg of California; his daughter, Audrey Deeg of Harrison, Ark.; a granddaughter, Kendell Deeg of California; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Mabel Deeg; and one sister.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at the Nelson Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs.
