Ona Allenbaugh

ONA ALLENBAUGH, a resident of Berryville, Arkansas, was born Oct. 22, 1911, in Sparks, Okla. a son of Paul and Emma (Harman) Allenbaugh. He died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2003, in Berryville at the age of 91.

Mr. Allenbaugh was a machine operator for McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft. He was a veteran, having served our country with the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Shore Patrol. He & his late wife, Ethel, supported many organizations such as DAV, VFW, and the American Legion.

He is survived by his loving friends and caregivers, Don and Elaine Phillips of Berryville.

On March 12, 1946, he was united in marriage with Ethel Lee (Walker) Allenbaugh who preceded him in death three weeks ago. She was a very loving caregiver to Ona during the years he was an invalid. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Emma Allenbaugh.

Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003 in the Shady Grove Cemetery with Rev. Jim Capps officiating. Interment followed the service in the Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at nelsonfuneral.com.
