Rebels win 9 of 11 tournaments

The North Arkansas Rebels, based out of Harrison, won nine of 11 tournaments this past summer prior to the USSSA Nationals in Kansas City, where they finished 12th.

Local athletes Chris Eiler, Josh Guindon, and Cody Neal played on the team, whose season record was 47-11. Eiler and Neal pitched some during the season, with Eiler sporting an 8-2 record, and Neal a 4-1 mark.

The team was made up of boys from Harrison, Salem, Hardy, Bergman, and Eureka Springs who have played together for the past three years. The team took third at Nationals last year.

Tournaments the team won included the following:

Baseball City 14-and-under (Fordland, Mo.), Holiday Inn NIT (Van Buren), Challenge of the Champions (Bentonville), Outback Steakhouse World Series Qualifier (Van Buren), USSSA NIT (Rogers), USSSA 14-and-under State Tournament (Bentonville), and the Baseball City Four-State Tourney (Fordland).
