Week of Aug. 18

August 18

8:30 a.m. -- Incident report taken after a bracelet was stolen from vehicle on Owen St.

8:33 a.m. -- Subject reported his vehicle was taken from apartments. Vehicle reappeared with keys in it and everything okay.

9:08 a.m. -- Accident report taken on private property incident.

10:50 a.m. -- Caller reported subject selling fruit door to door on Hwy. 62 East.

11:20 a.m. -- Same caller reported more subjects trying to sell cologne door to door.

12:20 p.m. -- Citation issued to dog owner after caller reported dogs running loose and bothering customers at restaurant.

6:50 p.m. -- Incident report taken on vandalism and theft to marquis sign at inn.

9:28 p.m. -- Hotel employee reported a silver Camry parked in the middle of the street in front of park. Vehicle gone upon arrival.

10:57 p.m. -- Driver arrested for driving on a suspended license.

August 19

11:17 a.m. -- Female subject told credit card collector by phone that she might have a gun and commit suicide. Police and EMS responded and took subject to hospital.

4:14 p.m. -- Officer requested to speak with subject in reference to an incident.

8:32 p.m. -- Hotel employee reported juveniles throwing firecrackers from vehicle.

August 20

3:12 a.m. -- Hotel employee reported two intoxicated male subjects who had left hotel on foot. Subjects gone upon arrival.

9:17 a.m. -- Convenience store clerk reported subject selling tools out of van.

10:17 a.m. -- Accident report taken on three-vehicle incident with injuries on Hwy. 62 East.

11:20 a.m. -- Officer requested to check on tent at top of Owen and White that people were living in.

11:43 a.m. -- Caller reported a moped parked in loading zone on Spring St. for more than an hour. Vehicle moved.

7:30 p.m. -- Caller reported a male subject in lane of traffic at Hwy. 62 and Hwy. 23 South. Officer unable to locate. Several more callers reported subject was intoxicated and he was given a free meal and a taxi ride back to motel.

8 p.m. -- Officer requested in reference to a fallen tree on inn premises. Incident report taken.

8:54 p.m. -- Officer requested to assist Carroll County deputy following possible drunk driver.

August 21

1:17 a.m. -- Officer arrested male subject for public intoxication after officer saw subject lying in the middle of the road on Mountain above Spring.

8:24 a.m. -- Incident report taken on burglary at train depot.

9:29 a.m. -- Incident report taken on attempted break-in and vandalism to gift shop.

10:47 a.m. -- Incident report taken on window broken out of vehicle.

12:05 p.m. -- Caller reported dog locked in vehicle with windows rolled up. Owner arrived and left.

4:52 p.m. -- Caller observed a leaving the scene traffic accident on Hillside and Spring. Very minor damage done, no report needed.

9:51 p.m. -- Caller on Singleton reported have problems with neighbor and dog. Both subjects advised of leash law.

10:32 p.m. -- Restaurant employee reported subjects with bad credit card left without paying bill. Subjects both later arrested on traffic stop.

10:39 p.m. -- Caller on Ridgeway reported a suspicious male subject asking for food.

August 22

5:51 p.m. -- Officer responded to a call concerning disabled vehicle blocking lane of traffic.

8:09 p.m. -- Subject requested bac test per Missouri probation requirement.

8:12 p.m. -- Caller reported a maroon Jeep with excessive smoke coming from exhaust.

8:30 p.m. -- Incident report taken after subjects left restaurant without paying.

9:53 p.m. -- Officers responded to call that subjects left restaurant without paying. Subjects returned and paid tab.

10:17 p.m. -- Caller reported a male and female fighting on Spring and Center.

August 23

1:31 a.m. -- Subject arrested for public intoxication after he was found lying in the middle of the Main St.

11:23 a.m. -- Accident report taken on minor, non-injury incident.

12:19 p.m. -- Incident report taken on threats.

1:28 p.m. -- Incident report taken on burglary at business.

4 p.m. -- Welfare check requested on Ridgeway resident. All okay.

6:05 p.m. -- Officer requested in reference to subject causing problems at business.

8:23 p.m. -- Emergency message delivered.

8:49 p.m.-- Suspicious vehicle reported on Magnetic. Officer advised subject was having mechanical difficulties.

9:02 p.m. -- Caller advised possible location of missing juvenile.

9:12 p.m. -- Caller reported an extremely loud blue VW driving up and down Main St.

9:42 p.m. -- Officer requested in reference to subject causing problems in bar and refused to leave.

10:30 p.m. -- Officer responded to a report of two subject involved in an altercation. Parties separated.

August 24

4:13 a.m. -- Officer made traffic stop on suspicious vehicle. Subjects fled scene, one juvenile taken into custody for DUI and released to mother.

9:22 a.m. -- Caller reported a black vehicle with broken window, no VL, purse in the front seat left in church parking lot. Vehicle towed.

9:49 a.m. -- Accident report taken on three vehicle incident. No injuries.

11:22 a.m. -- Caller reported subject trespassing on porch at Ridgeway residence, had been in area for a week. Subject told to leave area and not return.

4:15 p.m. -- Accident report taken on non-injury incident.

5:34 p.m. -- Caller reported damage done to motel room. Officer told subjects it was a civil matter.

DISPATCHES

There were two non-emergency transfers this week.

August 19

11:20 a.m. -- Squad #3 responded to a female subject with a gun and was threatening suicide. Patient taken to ESH.

12:59 p.m. -- G.K. and I.P. and Squad #4 responded to a two vehicle accident at Hwy. 62 and 187. No transport.

4:15 p.m. -- Squad #3 and H.I. responded to a male subject with blood disorder bleeding from his mouth. Patient taken to St. John's Berryville.

August 21

12:27 p.m. -- Squad #2 responded to an elderly female with difficulty breathing. Patient taken to ESH.

August 22

2:28 p.m. -- Squad #4 and Engine #1 responded to smoke at business. Responding units reported resident in upstairs apartment had burned a pizza.

4:46 p.m. -- CCSO request H.I. and Squad #4 respond to a domestic disturbance with injury on Venus. No transport.

5:51 p.m. -- Squad #2 responded to a driver having unknown problems. Problem was vehicular.

9:10 p.m. -- Squad #4 responded to a subject that had a cut to the head from a broken mirror. No transport.

August 23

1:03 p.m. -- Squad #4 and Engine #2 responded to electrical system on fire at business.

6:25 p.m. -- Squad #4 responded to a female subject weak and nauseated.

9:55 p.m. -- G.K. and Squad #2 responded to an injury traffic accident, with extremely intoxicated subject(s).

August 24

4:03 p.m. -- Squad #3 responded to a motorcycle rider down. Rider left scene before EMS arrival.

8:08 p.m. -- Engine #1 responded to leaves burning on Upper Mountain St. that was producing a lot of smoke. Leaves ignited by cigarette.
