CARL YOUNGBLOOD, a resident of Oak Grove, was born May 20, 1922 in the Yocum community of Carroll County, Ark. a son of Fred and Ottie Irene (Wyrick) Youngblood. He died Wednesday, July 23, 2003 in his home at the age of 81.
Mr. Youngblood was a veteran having served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II. Until his retirement he was a machinist at Automatic Casting in Green Forest.
On Dec. 15, 1962, he was united in marriage with Margaret (Johnson) Youngblood who survives him of the home. He is also survived by his son Jeff Youngblood of Oak Grove; three daughters, Carla Carpenter of Oak Grove, Cindy Anglin of Oak Grove, and Jenny (Youngblood) Porras of Richmond Hill, Georgia; one sister, Jean Avery of Eureka Springs; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Norman Lee Youngblood and Bobby Youngblood and three sisters, Pauline Botner, Navy Perkins and Dorothy Laverne Doty.
Funeral services held on Monday, July 28, 2003 at the Hale Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Harvey Butler officiating. Interment followed in the Hale Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
