Kate Grim Wilson
KATE GRIM WILSON, a resident of Green Forest, Ark. was born October 4, 1912 in Green Forest a daughter of Columbus Jay and Elizabeth "Lizzie" (Looney) Grim. She died Thursday, July 17, 2003 in Harrison, Ark. at the age of 90.
Mrs. Wilson was a seamstress who served the people of Green Forest and the surrounding area for 60 years. In the autumn of 2002 she was featured in the Golden Years news magazine for her many accomplishments throughout her life. She will be remembered for her warm smile and love of people and community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Green Forest.
She is survived by her son, James "Butch" and his wife, Mary Jane Wilson of North Little Rock, Ark.; a daughter, Joyce and her husband Bob Demski of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren, Eric Demski of San Antonio, Texas, Jimmy and his wife Dena Wilson of Maumelle, Ark. and Stephen Wilson of North Little Rock; three great-grandchildren; and many friends.
On October 4, 1929 she was united in marriage with Obed "Toby" Wilson who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 21, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Green Forest with Rev. Bill Griffith officiating. Interment followed in the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
