ISABELLE DANIELS, the daughter of the late Henry Allen and Jencie Cassey Henderson, was born in Wayton, Ark., on march 15, 1918, and died at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo., on July 13, 2003, at the age of 85 years.
Mrs. Daniels had moved to Missouri in 1948, and had lived in Essex since 1970. She was a member of the Emanuel Baptist Church in Dexter.
On March 3, 1935, she was married to Leonard Raymond Daniels and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1971.
Mrs. Daniels is survived by four sons: Clinton Daniels of Sikeston, Mo., Verlis Daniels of Picayune, Miss., James and Alvie Daniels, both of Paragould, Ark.; seven daughters: Elwanda Maddox of Dexter, Mo., Oleta Whitley of Morehouse, Mo., Lela Rushing and Karen Ramsey, both of Essex, Mo., Mary Roberts of St. Louis, Mo., Janet Gallo of Fenton, Mo., Ruth Swope of Warrensburg, Mo.; 36 grandchildren, seventy great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, one brother, paul Henderson, of Deer, Ark.; three sisters: Lura Henderson of Deer, Ark., Norma Edgmon of Jasper, Ark., and Deliah Wilson of Joplin, Mo.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one son, John Daniels.
Funeral services were held July 16 in the Hickory Grove Church near Nail, Ark., with Bro. Bobby Young officiating. Interment was in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Watkins and Sons Funeral Service of Dexter handled arrangements.
