Nola Louis Tanner
Nola Louis Tanner, a resident of Green Forest, Arkansas, was born November 8, 1919 in Flippin, a daughter of George Washington and Thenie Moore (Tucker) Williams. She died Thursday, May 1, 2003 in Springdale, at the age of 83.
Nola was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Green Forest.
She is survived by her daughter, Hilda Ann Stauffer of Nixa, Missouri; three sons, Robert L. Tanner of Green Forest, George W. and LuAnn Tanner of Green Forest and Jerry Keith and Janice Ruth Tanner of Green Forest; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several other relatives and a host of friends.
On December 25, 1939 she was united in marriage with H.E. Tanner, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Danny Paul Tanner and five brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 3, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Green Forest with Rev. Freddy Blevins officiating. Interment was in the Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in Green Forest in memory of Nola Tanner.
