Fredrick John Heminger
Fredrick John Heminger, 80, of Berryville, died Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at his home.
He was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Vernon, Iowa, son of Glen Fred and Sadie Elvira (Schuster) Heminger.
Mr. Heminger was a retired supervisor for Tyson Foods. He enjoyed hunting for Indian artifacts, and fishing. He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
On Oct. 2, 1981, he married Carol Rae (Reed) Heminger, who survives him, of the home. He is also survived by three sons, Timothy John Heminger of Berryville, Mark Abraham Heminger of Kirksville, Mo., and Glen Michael Heminger of La Plata, Mo.; a daughter, Connie Van Nieewaal of Ames, Iowa; a stepson, Robert Earl Hill, Jr., of San Clemente, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Vickie Lynn Landers of Lakewood, Calif., and Tamara Rae Christman of Donegal, Penn.; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Joe Heminger of Ottumwa, Iowa; and a sister, Shirley Hill of Lake Whales, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Sadie Heminger; a brother, Glen Heminger; and a sister, Marge Hunt.
Graveside committal services will be held at 10 a.m. today, April 8, at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service. Minister Bill Rutherford will officiate.
