Velma Janeway, 72, of Berryville, died Sunday, March 2, 2003, in Berryville.
She was born July 15, 1930, in Elmore City, Okla., daughter of Edward and Neva (Harmon) Tomlinson.
Mrs. Janeway was a retired nurse.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Janeway-Denney and husband William L. of Berryville; her son, Robert Elkins and wife Janice of Lancaster, Texas; three grandchildren, Misty Elkins Overturs, Ashley Elkins and Tony Denney; two great-grandchildren, Robby and Nicholas; two sisters, Jim of Davis, Okla., and Edna Abbott; three brothers, Tommy Tomlinson of Wynnewood, Okla., Pete Tomlinson and Bob Tomlinson, both of Davis, Okla.; her mother-in-law, Irene Janeway; two brothers-in-law and their wives; a sister-in-law and her husband; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends.
On April 7, 1953, she married Jackie Galvin Janeway. He preceded her in death, as did three brothers, Arnold, Buster, and Dennis Tomlinson; and two sisters, Lora Clements and Reva Fryar.
Graveside funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 5, at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery, with Mr. Michael Phillips officiating. Interment followed, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
