Rose Goodwin James Balentine

Rose Goodwin James Balentine, 89, of Kimberling City, Mo., died Sunday, March 9, 2003, in Kimberling City.

She was born Dec. 15, 1913, in Baxter, Mo., daughter of Albert Warren and Frances Isabel (Kenezal) Goodwin.

Mrs. Balentine was a nurse at Burge Hospital, now Cox Medical Center North. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Lampe, Mo.

She is survived by her son, James Warren James of St. Joseph, Mo.; two grandsons, Travis James and Jeremiah James; her brother, John Goodwin of Pendleton, Ore.; her sister, Nina Jean Parton of Lampe, Mo.; many nieces and nephews; and other loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James James; her second husband, Patrick Balentine; her parents, Albert and Frances Goodwin; two brothers, Albert Goodwin and Fed Goodwin; and a sister, Bertha Collins.

Cremation arrangements were by Nelson Funeral Service.
