He was born Oct. 19, 1935, in Joplin, Mo., to Victor Roy and Etha (Cox) Langston.
Mr. Langston was a retired captain in the U.S. Army, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Deer.
Survivors include his wife, Audrey; two sons, Brent Langston of Des Moines, Iowa, and Rusty Arnold of Cassville, Mo.; three daughters, Vicki Cotner of Weaverville, N.C., Kari Ross of Chillicothe, Mo., and Kris Ann Langston of Citrus Heights, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Gina Cooper and Julie Griffith, both of Jasper, and Kay Jones of Oak Grove; two stepsons, Chris and Russ Mavis of West Fork; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Bruce Langston of Carl Junction, Mo.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Deer. Arrangements were under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home and Crematory of Fayetteville.
