1:55 a.m. ---- Great Dane loose on Hammonds. Owner contacted and dog put up.

12:20 p.m. ---- Report of stolen license plate taken at police station.

December 31

3:51 a.m. ---- Report of harassment on Jefferson Street by ex-husband. Officer contacted suspect and defused situation.

11:19 a.m. ---- Report taken at non-injury accident at Orchard Street and Highway 62.

2:26 p.m. ---- Report taken at minor accident in Wal-Mart parking lot.

7:25 p.m. ---- Report of someone driving car in someone's yard on Pritchard Street. Gone on arrival.

January 1, 2003

1:23 a.m. ---- Officer responded to 911 call on Hammonds. Both sides of a dispute contacted, all OK.

2:02 a.m. ---- Assault report investigated at Carroll Regional Medical Center.

2:49 a.m. ---- Assisted county deputy with domestic dispute across from Davis-Barr.

3:15 a.m. ---- Traffic stop on High Street resulted in arrest of driver for DWI #2.

8:35 a.m. ---- Welfare concern checked on Douglas Street. Subject checked on for Family Services.

1:20 p.m. ---- Loud music on Hanby Street turned down on officer's request.

1:53 p.m. ---- Loud music on East Church Avenue turned down on officer's request.

3:02 p.m. ---- Emergency message delivered at Rue Apartments.

3:12 p.m. ---- Officer assisted homeless traveler who was cold and hungry. Located food and motel with aid from local people.

5:31 p.m. ---- Alarm at O'Reilly Auto Parts. All secure.

9:17 p.m. ---- Assisted CCSO with possible kidnapping report that was made from Locust Heights but occurred in the county.

January 2

10:16 a.m. ---- Credit card fraud reported at Sugg Oil.

2:23 p.m. ---- Report taken at non-injury accident at Highway 62 and College Avenue.

3:45 p.m. ---- Two people cited for shoplifting at Wal-Mart.

January 3

1:30 a.m. ---- Extra patrol provided on Bohannon Street. All secure.

9:28 a.m. ---- Non-injury traffic report taken on the square.

5:20 p.m. ---- Officer assisted with emergency medical call on McCloud Street.

9:28 p.m. ---- Security patrol at Community Center. All OK.

January 4

12:05 a.m. ---- Reckless driver reported in area of Spring Street. Unable to locate silver and tan Chevrolet pickup.

2:48 a.m. ---- Officer assisted state trooper at traffic stop near Fairway Inn.

10:43 a.m. ---- Funeral escort provided from Nelson's to Highway 21.

7:36 p.m. ---- Accident report taken on Lynn Street.

8:16 p.m. ---- Kids throwing rocks at cat were turned over to their parents.

9 p.m. ---- Advised female complainant how to file restraining order on her boyfriend.

9:29 p.m. ---- Harassment report taken from subject at the sheriff's office.

January 5

6:03 a.m. ---- Unattended death investigated on Ada Street.

4:35 p.m. ---- Report taken at accident on St. George Street.

4:58 p.m. ---- Neighbors harassing each other reported on Carter Street. Officer told both sides to leave each other alone.

10:10 p.m. ---- Dog fight on High Street resolved by officer.

11:23 p.m. ---- Suspicious vehicle at Sonic identified.

11:35 p.m. ---- Officer retrieved cell phone left at Burger King by EMS personnel.

11:40 p.m. ---- Two suspects arrested at Wal-Mart for alleged attempt to pass forged checks.

5:34 p.m. ---- Police checked an abandoned vehicle that was parked at the city shop.

8:22 p.m. ---- Police were dispatched to a Hwy. 311 North location to investigate a report of a possible broken water main.

9:50 p.m. ---- Police were dispatched to a North Springfield Avenue home to investigate a 911 hang-up call. Everything was okay. Someone had dialed the wrong number.

December 31

7:54 p.m. ---- Police were dispatched to a Western Avenue location to investigate a report of an intoxicated individual. A female subject was transported to jail.

9:24 p.m. ---- Two people were transported to jail after they were found behind a building engaged in alleged illegal activities. One was booked on the charge of contributing alcohol to minors, and the other was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.

10:30 p.m. ---- Police transported a subject to jail following a traffic stop.

January 1

9:10 p.m. ---- Police transported a motorist to the police department for a breathalyzer test, then on to the county jail for booking.

10:45 p.m. ---- Police were dispatched to the Tenth Street Trailer Park to investigate a report of a possible domestic disturbance.

11 p.m. ---- One person was transported to jail.

January 2

10:35 p.m. ---- Police went to a Rose Court home to take a report.

January 3

3:35 a.m. ---- Police were dispatched to the Eastgate Trailer Park to investigate a report of a vehicle in a ditch with flashers on. The vehicle was pulled out by a wrecker driver and the motorist drove away. Everything was okay.

5:35 p.m. ---- Police transported a female suspect to jail following an investigation and interview.

6:52 p.m. ---- Police checked three subjects in a red Chevy pickup at the Tanner Hardware warehouse on Venture Street. The subjects were picking up supplies.

8:06 p.m. ---- Police checked an abandoned vehicle on Butler Street and determined that everything was okay.

9 p.m. ---- Police transported a subject to jail on a warrant after initiating a traffic stop on a vehicle with defective equipment.

10:58 p.m. ---- Police provided a tavern walk-through.

11 p.m. ---- Police were dispatched to a Fifth Street location to investigate a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in a driveway.

11:47 p.m. ---- Police recovered a stolen motorcycle.

11:50 p.m. ---- Police were dispatched to Tyson Foods to take a report regarding a stolen wallet.

January 4

1:10 a.m. ---- Police were dispatched to a North Arch Avenue location to investigate a prowler complaint. Police checked the area, were unable to locate the suspect, and promised the complainant extra patrols throughout the night.

2:55 a.m. ---- Police were dispatched to Tyson to investigate a report of an out-of-state vehicle parked in the lot for more than a month.

January 5

12:10 a.m. ---- Police were dispatched to a Tenth Street location to investigate a loud music complaint. All was quiet when they arrived.
