Rev. Floyd Butler
Rev. Floyd Butler, 79, of Green Forest, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, in Eureka Springs.
He was born June 2, 1923, in Carroll County, son of Clarence Roscoe and Luvena (Youngblood) Butler.
Rev. Butler was a minister. He attended the First Assembly of God Church in Berryville. He was a veteran, having served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II.
On June 2, 1947, he married Omagene L. (Smith) Butler, who survives him, of the home. He is also survived by two sons, Keith Butler and wife Carol of Berryville, and Rusty Butler and wife Suellen of Green Forest; five grandchildren, Craig Butler and wife Rachel of Berryville, Krista Swillum and husband Nick of Mt. Vernon, Mo., B.J. Butler and wife Leslie of Green Forest, J.R. Butler of Green Forest, and Kent Butler of Berryville; four great-granddaughters; a great-grandson; two sisters, Elzie Ferguson of Green Forest, and Mary Smith and husband Marvin of Red Bluff, Calif.; four brothers, Harvey Butler and wife Faye of Green Forest, Bob Butler and wife Janice of Springfield, Mo., George Butler and wife Norma of Eureka Springs, and Joe Butler and wife Connie of Filer, Idaho; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Dec. 19, at the First Assembly of God Church in Berryville, with Pastor Keith Butler and Pastor Craig Butler officiating. Interment followed in the Rule Cemetery, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
