Fun-Fest tourney has great weather for member/guest competition
The Carroll County Country Club's annual member-guest Fun-Fest tournament enjoyed ideal weather conditions this past weekend, but the course played difficult, according to tournament chairman Todd Walker.
"The golf course was in excellent condition thanks to course superintendent Duane Generaux and his staff," Walker said. "We would also like to thank the clubhouse staff and the volunteers who made this event go off so smoothly."
A total of 36 teams participated in the event, held over the June 1-2 weekend, with members required to play with a guest (non-member). The tournament format was 4-ball on Saturday, and a scramble on Sunday.
The closest-to-the-hole prize on Saturday went to member Tom Roberts, with guest Louie Keener of Harrison winning that prize on Sunday.
