Theodore "Ted" Kelley
Theodore "Ted" Kelley, 77, of Golden, Mo., died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, at his home.
He was born April 1, 1925, in Thawville, Ill., the son of Elzie and Tilley Greenwood Kelley.
Mr. Kelley was a veteran, having served his country with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a livestock farmer. He had resided in Des Moines, Iowa, in Danville, Ill., and in Arizona. Much of his life was spent in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., where he raised his family. In 1979 he moved to Missouri. He had been employed by Tyson Foods. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Golden.
On Sept. 7, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa, he married Dorothy Allen, who preceded him in death on April 6, 19095. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Timothy; two stepsons, Mark and Joseph; and two brothers, Everett and Laverne.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel Kelley and wife Min of Golden, and Matthew Kelley and wife Carrie of Berryville; five daughters, Kitty Farnsworth and husband Melvin of Jonesboro, Peggy Barnhouse and husband Amos of Orient, Iowa, Patty Isch of Mesa, Ariz., Sharon White and husband David of Fountain, Fla., and Debby Coursey of Bakersfield, Calif.; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and 10 sisters.
Funeral services were held on Monday, April 29, at Williamson Funeral Home, Cassville, Mo., with Pastor Les Mantonya officiating. Burial followed in Viney Creek Cemetery, Golden.
