Jerry F. McLaughlin
Jerry F. McLaughlin, 79, of Wichita, Kan., died Friday, April 19, 2002, at Kansas Masonic Home, Wichita.
He was born Feb. 22, 1923, in Boise City, Okla., son of Patrick Albert and Gladys Throne (Butler) McLaughlin. He was raised in Berryville.
Mr. McLaughlin was a retired truck driver. He was a lifetime member of American Motorcycle Association, Harley Owners' Group, Jeeps Motorcycle Club and Retreads.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn L. Crawford McLaughlin, of the home; four daughters, Joyce Nixon and husband Les of Wichita, Jeri Lynn Underhill of Arkansas City, Kan., Janice Lee Hunter and husband John of Indiana, and Jackie Lou Gourley of Osborne, Kan.; a son, J.P. McLaughlin of Wichita; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Dorothy Keller of Minneapolis, Minn., Mary Garris and Patricia Cooper, both of Manteka, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a sister, Jean Wickman.
Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. today at Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel in Wichita, with the Rev. Greg Oldenettel officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, Wichita.
