Kathleen Fancher Meadows

Kathleen Fancher Meadows, 87, formerly of Carr Lane, Mo., died Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Green Haven in Springfield, Mo.

She was born Oct. 27, 1914, in Connor, a daughter of Crump and Allie Fancher.

On July 8, 1934, she married William Alpha Meadows, and to this union two daughters were born.

Mrs. Meadows was of the Baptist faith. She was a homemaker. She cherished the time she was given to spend with her grandchildren, who preceded her in death.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two grandsons, George and Paul Edwards; three granddaughters, Lisa and Sammie Edwards, and Linda Mathias; a brother, Jim Frank Fancher; two half-brothers, Dick and Will Fancher; and a nephew, Jerry Fancher.

Survivors include her two daughters, Georgie Mathias and her husband Bill of Springfield, Mo., and Betty Edwards and her husband Bob of Shell Knob, Mo.; two sisters, Haleen Fancher, and Pauline Sooter and her husband Howard of Shell Knob; two sisters-in-law, Lee Fancher of Rogers, and Maxine Fancher of Shell Knob; two nieces, Kristy Fancher, and Kathy Pettigrew and her husband Jerry of Rogers; four nephews, Danny Fancher and his wife ReDonna of Cassville, Mo., Tom Fancher of Woodland, Calif., Chad Fancher and his wife Sue of Rogers, and Jimmy Fancher and his wife Lisa of Cassville; a great-niece; eight great-nephews; and a great-great-nephew.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 11, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel, with Shirley McCullough officiating. Interment followed in the McCollough Cemetery, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
