Milburn E. Stiles

Milburn E. Stiles, 93, of Eureka Springs, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2001, in Springdale.

He was born June 12, 1908, in Golden, Mo., a son of William and Dora (Hill) Stiles.

Mr. Stiles attended the Methodist church. He was a school custodian.

His first wife, Alice (Phillips) Stiles, preceded him in death. He later married Helen (Brutchin) Stiles, who also preceded him in death. In addition, he was preceded in death by his twin children, Ray and May Stiles; a son, Lonnie Stiles; his parents; a brother; two grandsons; a great-grandson; and a great-granddaughter.

Survivors include four sons, Paul Stiles of Berryville, Bob Stiles of Great Bend, Kan., Joy Stiles of Harrington, Kan., and Don Stiles of Parker, Colo.; three daughters, Faye Farwell of Eureka Springs, Louise Phillips of Humansville, Mo., and Wanda Shields of Lakewood, Colo.; three brothers, Clarence Stiles of Gailsburg, Ill., George Stiles of Milwaukee, Ore., and Ralph Stiles of Ripley, Okla.; a sister, Gladys Nance of Cassville, Mo.; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 4, at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Wayne Writer officiating. Interment followed in the Viney Creek Cemetery in Barry County, Mo., under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
